Force effect

Temperature effect

The traditional theory that the effect of temperature on the saw blade process is mainly manifested in two aspects: one is to cause the graphitization of diamond in the nodules; the other is to cause premature loss of diamond particles due to thermal stress between diamond and the body. New research shows that the heat generated during the cutting process is mainly transferred into the nodules. The arc area temperature is not high, generally between 40 to 120 ℃. While the grinding point temperature of the abrasive grain is high, generally between 250 to 700 ℃. The coolant only reduces the average temperature of the arc area but has less effect on the grinding grain temperature. Such temperature does not lead to graphite carbonization but will make the abrasive grain and the workpiece between the frictional properties of the change, make the diamond additive between the thermal stress, and lead to a fundamental change in the diamond failure mechanism. Research shows that the temperature effect is the biggest influence factor making the saw blade breakage.

Abrasive wear and tear form mainly have the following kinds: abrasive wear, local broken, large area broken, shedding, bonding agent along the sawing speed direction of mechanical abrasion.

l Abrasive wear: diamond particles and type parts constantly rubbing, prism blunt into the plane, lose cutting performance, increase friction. Sawing heat will make the diamond particles surface graphitization thin layer, hardness greatly reduced, intensify wear.

l Local broken: diamond particles surface to bear alternating thermal stress, while also bearing alternating cutting stress, there will be fatigue cracks and local broken, revealing sharp new prism, is more ideal wear form.

l Massive fragmentation: diamond particles are subjected to impact loads when cutting in and out, and the more prominent particles and grains are consumed prematurely.

l Shedding: the alternating cutting force makes diamond particles in the bonding agent constantly shaken and loose. At the same time, the sawing process of the bond itself wears sawing heat to soften the bond. This makes the bonding agent holding force decrease, when the particle on the cutting force is greater than the holding force, diamond particles will fall off.

Either kind of wear and diamond particles are closely related to the load and temperature. And both depend on the sawing process and cooling lubrication conditions.
